Nagaland Bids Farewell to Imkong L. Imchen | CM Neiphiu Rio Leads State Funeral in Kohima Nagaland paid its final respects to Late Shri Imkong L. Imchen, Hon’ble Advisor for Information & Public Relations and Soil & Water Conservation, who passed away on November 11, 2025, at the age of 75. A State Funeral was held at his official residence, MH/3, Old Ministers’ Hill, Kohima, with Chief Minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio, Speaker Sharingain Longkumer, and Chief Secretary Sentiyanger Imchen among the dignitaries in attendance. In an emotional address, CM Rio described Late Imkong L. Imchen as “a man of vision, integrity, and courage who devoted his entire life to the service of Nagaland.” The solemn ceremony included hymns, tributes, and a Guard of Honour presented by the Nagaland Police. Born in Mokokchung in 1950, Late Imkong L.
