Sony SL-HF950E/UB (US- HF750) Betamax - broken sled 'skate' repair - Recommissioning Part 1

Sled loading and unloading issues are starting to become quite common on the SLHF950 and HF750 Sony Betamax machines but they can be fixed and this is how to do it. So far I've always been lucky and found the piece of broken sled somewhere in the machine so it's always work taking it slowly and keeping an eye out for it. Sony refer to the drawer as the skate but I always think of it as a sled - both terms are somewhat vague and I think 'drawer' makes more sense!
