(11 Apr 2011) Britain's Prince William and Kate Middleton visited northwest England to support local youth charities on Monday, in their last official trip before their wedding later this month. The Royal couple opened a community academy and visited a country park. Arriving first at the Darwen Aldridge Community Academy, they spent time chatting to students and looking over their work. The Prince was impressed by the standard of work produced, praising one student and saying that he was glad he wasn't in that class. The couple were also treated to a dance performance by students, which raised a smile from Middleton. While at the academy they unveiled a plaque to commemorate it's opening and Prince William also launched a 'Prince's award' for SkillForce, one of the educational charities he supports. From there Prince William and Middleton visited Witton Country Park as part of William's commitment to protect outdoor recreational spaces. The future Princess looked at ease smiling and talking with a group of youths competing in cyclists at the park. As they were departing the crowds witnessed a display of affection as the young couple briefing placed their arms around each other. Since announcing their engagement in November, the two have travelled to Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, introducing Middleton to royal duties and to the British public. The couple will marry at Westminster Abbey on April 29.
