This channel is to preserve and allow new listeners to experience the work of the amateur band Random Karma, which was active from 1998 to 2002 on the MP3.COM website. We had many number ones on many charts, MOST of our songs were meant to be funny. We had ten of thousands of downloads and GOT PAID to do music, making us technically "professional". In reality, we were some yutz in his garage writing his own songs, recording, programming, producing, performing the yutz's music. We had a wonderful sense of humor. We were NOT professionals and were hated by REAL bands for taking chart positions above them with our rude and immature (sometimes) and imperfect playing and singing. At our best, we were reknown for making hysterically funny songs, which were all over Napster when that was a thing. SOMEBODY always had "Spank My Monkey" or "She's So Ugly" on their mp3 song library. As we progressed, we became better musicians and wrote serious songs instead of goofy songs designed to garner attention and downloads. We LOVE MUSIC and making music was our greatest joy, despite us not being the most talented musicians. The bass playing was always very solid, but more Cheap Trick than Primus. Rhythm guitar was, sorry, out of tune at first, but we had a gorgeous awesome Les Paul 12 strong later, keyboards, drum loops, REAL drums later, sound effects, and produced some quality work.
