In honor of Shakespeare's Birthday and National Poetry Month, we are revisiting a reading from the O.B. Hardison Poetry Series entitled "The New Sonneteers." Poet and O.B. Hardison Poetry Board member Donna Denizé introduces Malachi Black and Laurie Ann Guerrero who read their favorite Shakespearean sonnets alongside their own, showcasing the vibrancy and universality of this centuries-old poetic form. This 2016 reading also featured poet A. Van Jordan and was co-sponsored by Letras Latinas, the literary initiative at the University of Notre Dame's Institute for Latino Studies.
