Career and Technical Education (CTE) has long been a point of pride at Hastings Area School System. Students have the opportunity to gain hands-on training in a wide range of fields, from culinary arts and ag business to engineering, welding, and construction — all inside the walls of our school. To take a deeper look at these important programs, we welcomed Ed Domke to the Saxon Stories Podcast. In the episode, he discusses the origins of CTE at Hastings, how students can get involved, and what exciting opportunities may be on the horizon for the district’s growing CTE programs. Mr. Domke has dedicated 40 years of service to the district, and following this taping, he announced that he will be retiring at the end of the year.
