BOSS - The Toughest Black Bounty Hunters In The American West | Full WESTERN Movie HD

Fans of Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained and Blazing Saddles cannot miss this revisionist Western / Blaxploitation movie. Two Black bounty hunters, Boss (Fred Williamson) and his sidekick Amos (D'Urville Martin) ride together in the post-Civil War American West. After intervening in a bandit attack, Boss finds an official letter intended for a white fugitive outlaw, inviting him to become the sheriff of the corrupt, lawless town of San Miguel. Using the letter as leverage, Boss intimidates the racist Mayor and townsmen into installing him and Amos as the town's new lawmen. The duo's brand of tough, no-nonsense justice, coupled with Boss's romantic entanglement with the white schoolmarm, challenges the deeply ingrained social order. Their primary goal, however, remains to lure the notorious fugitive Jed Clayton into town to collect the bounty, leading to a climactic, explosive confrontation. The film was written, co-produced, and starred Fred "The Hammer" Williamson, a former professional football star who became one of the biggest action and Blaxploitation stars of the era (following successful roles in films like Black Caesar and Three Tough Guys). This grants him significant creative control and makes him the film's true creative force, or auteur, imbuing it with his signature charisma and swagger. Boss arrived during the latter half of the Blaxploitation movement's commercial peak, where a variety of subgenres (crime, horror, action) were being infused with Black characters, perspectives, and cultural style. Boss specifically sought to invert the classic Western narrative, placing a Black hero in a position of authority over an overwhelmingly white, corrupt establishment.
