In this video I change the timing belt on a 2011 Honda Odyssey Touring Elite. This is going to be the same procedure on all 2011-2017 Odyssey models and be very similar on the same year Ridgeline, Pilot and Accord models with the Honda 3.5L V6. This service is typically due every 105,000mi or 7yr, whichever comes first. Do not neglect this maintenance on your Honda V6 no matter the year. I have heard of and seen many failures, some as early as 120k mi or 8yrs. Typically the timing belt tensioners begin to leak, particularly the Gates Tensioners, where the tensioner assembly begins to make a slapping noise that is often misdiagnosed as a lifter or rod bearing failure. If your V6 Honda is ticking and it’s not low on oil or has never been run low on oil, this is the first place you start.
