"Transistor 3001" is the model name from Grundig for the "international" (export-) version. The unit has a very long telescopic antenna (145 cm) which can be extended in 2 stages (1st stage only FM and 2nd stage for SW). The radio has an excellent sound (almost comparable to the satellite(s) 6001) and an excellent, stable FM reception. Detailed demonstration of SW1-SW4 performance at late daytime. You can also see in the LW demo the extreme directional effect of the internal ferrite antenna in the LW band and also at AM. Just 45 degrees rotation causes enormous reception gain, see reception of the French long wave transmitter. Unfortunately all AM and LW radio stations in Germany are completely switched off already years ago :-( Therefore reception in the AM / LW band is only possible in the evening and night hours. Then one can receive significantly more stations from abroad due to the dominant space wave propagation (vs. ground waves over daytime) at this time. 4 shortwave bands with fine tuning knob (called "Kurzwellen-Lupe" ["shortwave magnifier"] by Grundig). Unlike the Satellit(e) 6001, the device has no SW band spread. At the end of the video you can also see the nice effect of the AFC function (automatic frequency control) and how it "catches" the badly tuned station in the example. The 8 buttons are the base stations for FM, then the AFC button (on/off = turn), then the battery control and at the very bottom switch on / off the 2nd (= high tone) speaker. A very nice device and one of my favorites :-
