‘Galactorrhoea’ a whitish or greenish discharge from the nipples which has no relation to the normal milk production of breast-feeding. It is a relatively common clinical symptom encountered by primary health care providers which usually occurs in women, who have never had children or after menopause and rarely even in men. Galactorrhoea itself isn't a disease, but a symptom and could be a signal of an underlying problem. The most common pathologic cause of galactorrhea is a pituitary tumor and high prolactin levels. Evaluating and Managing Galactorrhoea effectively may go a long way in the treatment by the primary care practitioner as it needs detailed history taking, some blood tests and prescribing. To understand this topic in detail we would like to invite you to attend our webinar ‘Evaluating & Managing Galactorrhoea’ by Padmashree Prof. Dr. Alaka Deshpande.
