In the latest episode of Kanpai Guys we try out Ka no Shizuku (香の雫) Craft Gin by Yomeishu! This unusual gin comes sold in a small bottle at a reasonable price. Like Sui Gin which we reviewed on a previous episode, Ka no Shizuku is made using a unique blend of botanicals. This one includes eleven botanicals including lemon peel, cromoge (an ancient Japanese fragrant tree), juniper berries, coriander, liquorice, angelica, ginger, cinnamon, pepper, cardamom, caraway and brewing alcohol. It also uses the light delicate aroma of cromwellia, and uses subsoil water from the Central Alps in Japan, a very pure water used in the brewing process. Yomeishu state it has the aroma of a fresh green forest with a pleasant aftertaste. This is an introductory gin for craft gin beginners. In this video we try out this intriguing product two ways, chilled neat and on soda. Neither of us have much experience drinking gin neat, so we were both excited to see how it tasted! Please watch to the end to see us react to Ka no Shizuku on soda too, and decide our favourite! We hope everyone enjoys this video and if you like what we do, please subscribe to the channel and give us a like!
