1999 Yamaha 900S Diversion Revival | Episode 04 - De-rusting the Fuel Tank - Amazing Results!!

I was massively concerned about the tank, and the amount of rust it had in it. I searched high and low for a reliable, repeatable solution, and Rostio came out as the best option for not a massive cost. The buyer reviews were good, but they did explain you needed to let the tank sit for best results. So we fired up the hob, boiled 10 litres of water, and off we went. The old fuel was rank, it stunk to high heaven, but it hadn't separated and damaged the tank, so we were lucky there. Once the Rostio was in, we propped the tank up using various blocks of wood, and we left it in various positions for 4 hours at a time. Overnight, we left it so the Rostio was covering the tank wall you see in the video thumbnail. The results were amazing, I was genuinely sceptical, but I cannot recommend Rostio enough, it is very good indeed.
