Hunt directed the original production, which starred William Daniels, Virginia Vestoff, Howard Da Silva, Ken Howard, and Paul Hecht. The music was orchestrated by Eddie Sauter. This track has a four-measure intro into the song proper, as per the 1974 film version. The next two numbers in the score, a short violin solo that Jefferson plays onstage, and the playoff, sung by Adams & Franklin, are appended to the end of this track.
