Reaching the lava section, the game suddenly ramps up with intense platforming and goes straight into punishing mode, offering no checkpoint even after surviving all that chaos. At that stage, you’re still early in the game, and I don’t think it should be this unforgiving. It feels like the developer didn’t stop to think or consider that this is still the early phase since players are bound to mess up. Having a checkpoint in between wouldn’t hurt. I actually stopped streaming and progressing after saving the citizens and dealing with enemies, and even then, there was still no checkpoint. It just feels kind of ridiculous. Overall, I think the game needs to stay more grounded and ease players in by adjusting the difficulty gradually. It shouldn’t be this punishing early on, even Hollow Knight didn’t hit you that hard. After surviving something brutal, at least it rewarded you with a checkpoint. This one is just too much right from the start. I feel like there’s input delay when using a controller in this game. The actions don’t respond instantly, especially during precise jumps or attacks, making it feel slightly off compared to how it should react. It’s frustrating because timing is so important, and even a small delay can ruin the flow. Mouse and keyboard don’t seem to have any delay, but diagonal inputs feel awkward that way. If you’re sticking with the default setup, I’d recommend reassigning the hook to R1 instead of R2 — the bumper sits a little deeper, and using R1 just feels smoother and more responsive.
