In this video I describe the Progressive Range Selection (PRS) mode on a Ford Transit 2019 transmission and the potential problems it can cause if you are unfamiliar with how it functions. As well, I describe how mishandling the PRS mode can lead to illumination of the Powertrain Warning Lamp, how that affects the functioning of the transmission, and eventually how to clear it. Because the owner’s manual does not have any reference to PRS mode, this was a difficult problem to analyse on the road. Hopefully this video helps all of you to avoid that aggravation.
