Just as a note, this doesn't truly mean that 32/32 ultra shortcuts have been done yet, as this is still impossible in time trials. Simple-ish explanation: • You can use a thing called Bumpfest to build crazy External Velocity (EV) by bouncing off a super heavy vehicle while playing as a super light one. • If you hit the wall in a really specific way, you actually get a TON of upwards EV. You seem to need a weird form of suspension (which I get by getting smushed by the Piranha Prowler), high lateral EV, and to clip a wall. It's pretty weird behavior but that's the best I can understand it right now. • Having high positive Y EV doesn't immediately mean you can go up at near-max speed upwards since you already have high horizontal speed. If you hit a wall, your horizontal speed decreases drastically, meaning you can go up much faster. • In the video, I only got 1 shroom. It's possible to go way faster by simply having more shrooms or something else like a star on the floor. You can also land on the seam, but I'm not sure if you can jump back to the other side far/fast enough. anyways uhh shoutout to ‪@Jellopuff_TAS‬ for really showing potential of bumpfest
