Sig Sauer P320 Loses $2.3M Safety Lawsuit: Is The Pistol Unsafe? Sig Sauer just lost a lawsuit regarding a P320 "unintentionally" discharging and injuring the plaintiff. Here are my thoughts on the P320 and its safety. The P320 has had a rough ride ever since its introduction. And all by fault of its own. However, I don't personally believe the pistol to be inherently unsafe. I do however feel it is less forgiving than other guns in its class and therefore I think certain accommodations should be recommended. But, you then have to ask yourself whether or not special accommodations should be needed on a modern, striker fired double stack pistol when there are so many others that don't require them.
