The jazz band "Prohibition Stompers" was founded in late 2016 in Graz, Austria, bringing together seven early jazz enthusiasts from different corners of the world. Their repertoire takes us back to the golden age of jazz - the roaring 20s, a time of boundless optimism and endless possibilities. This era was marked by economic prosperity and the advent of automobiles, telephones, radios, and other electrical devices. The media began focusing on celebrities - including sports icons like Babe Ruth and film stars like Charlie Chaplin. Thus, the first pop culture emerged, full of the energy and madness of that time, reflected vividly in the music. People began dancing to a fast, rhythmic style of music known as "stomp."
