PLOT (via Wiki & ChatGPT) In I Know What You Did Last Summer, on July 4 in Southport, North Carolina, Julie James (Jennifer Love Hewitt), Ray Bronson (Freddie Prinze Jr.), Helen Shivers (Sarah Michelle Gellar), and Barry Cox (Ryan Phillippe) accidentally hit a man while driving back from Helen’s pageant win. Believing he’s dead, they dump the body—still alive—into the water and vow silence. One year later, Julie receives a note: “I know what you did last summer.” Max (Johnny Galecki) is killed by a hook-wielding figure, Barry is attacked, and Helen’s hair is cut in her sleep. Julie suspects the victim was David Egan (Jonathan Quint), but learns he died earlier—murdered by Ben Willis (Muse Watson), who they’d actually hit. Ben had killed David for his daughter Susie’s (Kelly Jo Minter) death. At the parade, Barry is killed; that night, Helen and her sister Elsa (Bridgette Wilson) are both murdered. Julie ends up on Ben’s boat, where she finds photos and bodies. Ray helps her escape and severs Ben’s hand, sending him overboard. In I Still Know What You Did Last Summer, Julie, still traumatized, attends summer classes in Boston. Her roommate Karla Wilson (Brandy) wins a Bahamas trip for four. Julie invites Ray, who’s attacked by Ben while en route. Julie, Karla, Karla’s boyfriend Tyrell Martin (Mekhi Phifer), and friend Will Benson (Matthew Settle) arrive at the island hotel as a storm hits. Julie sees “I still know” during karaoke; soon, staff including Darick (Benjamin Brown), Olga (Jennifer Esposito), Mr. Brooks (Jeffrey Combs), and Titus Telesco (Jack Black) are murdered. Ray survives and sails to the island. Porter Estes (Bill Cobbs) warns them it was a setup—Julie answered the contest question wrong. He reveals Ben had a son and murdered his wife Sarah (uncredited). Will confesses he’s Ben’s son and the fake DJ. He takes Julie to a graveyard, where Ben attacks. Ray arrives and, during the fight, Ben accidentally kills Will. Julie shoots Ben. The survivors—Julie, Ray, and Karla—are rescued. Later, after Julie and Ray marry, Ben appears under her bed and drags her under. In I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer, in Broken Ridge, Colorado, Amber Williams (Brooke Nevin), boyfriend Colby Patterson (David Paetkau), and friends Zoe (Torrey DeVitto), Roger (Seth Packard), and PJ (Clay Taylor) stage a prank where Roger pretends to be the Fisherman. But PJ dies when the stunt goes wrong. They cover it up and make a pact. A year later, Amber receives threatening texts. She reunites with Zoe, Colby, and Roger—who’s later killed, followed by Colby and Zoe. Deputy Haffner (Michael Flynn) investigates. Lance (Ben Easter), PJ’s cousin, joins them. Messages appear on yearbook clippings and Lance’s motorbike. During Zoe’s concert, Ben (Don Shanks, uncredited) returns—now undead. He kills the sheriff, Zoe, Colby, and Haffner. Amber and Lance injure Ben with a hook and kill him using a thresher. One year later, Amber's car breaks down in the desert.
