A Commission of Inquiry into the circumstances surrounding former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa's death in 2016 accused V K Sasikala, the late leader's confidante. In its report, which was submitted in the Tamil Nadu Assembly on Tuesday, the Commission of Inquiry stated that it 'indicts' Sasikala and recommends an investigation. The report also stated that former Health Minister C Vijayabaskar, then Health Secretary J Radhakrishnan, and KS Sivakumar, a medical doctor, are at fault and an investigation is to be ordered. It also recommended an investigation into the then Chief Secretary Rama Mohana Rao and others, including doctors. Vijayabaskar is an AIADMK lawmaker and leader.
