June 24 2025 Day 11 Part 1 Ouray CO to Silverton, CO

After spending Days 9 and 10 exploring the area around Ouray, CO, we began Day 11 by loading up the bikes and beginning the trip to Pagosa Springs, CO. Today’s ride will cover 131 miles and bring the total mileage to 2036 miles. Today’s video will be broken into two parts. Part 1 will cover the ride from Ouray to Silverton and Part 2 will cover from Silverton to Pagosa Springs. Upon leaving Ouray, we headed south along Hwy 550, the Million Dollar Highway. There were still fire crews stationed along the highway in the area of the Snowshed wildfire. The highway had just reopened the evening before, after being closed due to the fire. We did encounter some light rain before making it to Silverton and stopped to put on rain gear. It was still a beautiful ride.
