Nisht For Me Episode 14 - Chanukah Special: The 8 Nisht For Me's of the Year

The chanukah cardigans are out which only means one thing…it’s NFM’s Chanukah special!!! Some disclaimers about this episode: Yes we know it’s out on technically the last day of Chanukah but, you know, indulge us. It is possibly our most x-rated recording to date, with both language and content that makes @abigailradnor wonder what Grandma Clair would make of it but then she is the grandma who discovered porn on Arron’s computer when he was teenager and made zero fuss so Abigail’s probably not giving her enough credit. This was recorded the Friday before Chanukah started and while the episode alludes to the fact that it has a been a hell of year up to that point, there’s still an air of levity and well, innocent silliness, that hits different listening to it back. This is because we recorded it before the horrific antisemitic attack at a Channukah party on Bondi beach which occurred 48 hours later. There have been so many emotions since then - appalled shock, profound sadness, fear, rising anger - which we are sure many of you share. But because of the chronology of events, you’ll find none of that in this episode. And maybe, that’s a good thing. We gift to you this Channukah an hour (mostly) free of all those difficult feelings and one that spans everything from dire wolves to Arron’s daughter resembling Samuel Pepys to the contents of that Duane Reed bag on Lily Allen album’s.
