In this video, I'll share the challenges our water district faces, particularly with the Hober system. A significant issue occurs during power outages or when the IGBT detects an abnormal high current. While these errors are infrequent in normal operations, my father has observed that they typically happen during the motor cycle when the tank is full and it runs low. This cycle can trigger an IGBT error during the motor's restart process. Currently, resolving these errors requires a hard restart of the Hober, necessitating a reset of the main power. Given that the controller is 400 meters from our home, finding a solution is crucial. To address this, we are installing a magnetic contactor to automate the restart process. This contactor will control the AC main line, shutting off the system when the tank is full and re-energizing it when the water level is low. This setup allows the Hober to restart automatically in the event of an error, significantly improving efficiency. We will also add a remote switch near my father’s house, eliminating the need for manual restarts at the Hober site. This solution enhances both reliability and convenience for our water services. Installation Steps 0:00 Gather Materials: Ensure you have all necessary components, including the Hober system, magnetic contactor, wiring, and mounting hardware. 2:00 Identify Power Sources: Determine the power source for the equipment the restart system will control. This will be the input to the magnetic contactor. 2:30 Wire the Magnetic Contactor: Connect the power source to the input terminals of the magnetic contactor. The output terminals will connect to the equipment you're controlling. 3:44 Connect the Hober System: Link the control unit of the Hober system to the magnetic contactor's coil. The control unit will activate the coil, switching power to the equipment. 5:24 Configure the Hober System: Set up Hober's parameters, including restart delay, number of retries, and any other relevant settings. 7:13 Test the System: After installation, simulate a power outage to thoroughly test the system. Ensure the Hober correctly activates the magnetic contactor and restarts the equipment. Safety Precautions: Always follow safety procedures when working with electrical systems. Be sure to disconnect power before handling any wiring.
