At times, newer lifters can lack the understanding of how each of these #Deadlift variations is different and how those differences can then be applied strategically in their training programs. The differences between the stiff-leg deadlift and #RomanianDeadlift involve a difference in execution for each exercise and also how they're then applied to accomplish various goals. EXECUTION DIFFERENCES The #RDL focuses heavily on the eccentric loading pattern and is primarily a hinge exercise with the barbell never truly hitting the floor (barring great mobility, of course). Conversely, the stiff-leg deadlift involves picking the barbell up from the floor and focuses more so on the concentric pattern and "breaking the floor".
