Buffalograss From Seed - REAL World Observations

Here are my observations and "things learned" growing Buffalo grass from seed in a few different plots on my hill yard this summer. Most everything learned I learned the hard way, through experimentation and "doing". Along the way I've learned that keeping seed well shaded helps a lot in high summer heat and that means using thick layers of peat moss and multiple layers of straw blankets. This ends of requiring loner watering sessions to get the seed damp but when done well the watering sessions per day aren't as often even in temperatures bordering on 100-degrees.
