Video created by Northumberland Snapper: https://northumberlandsnapper.blogspo... Please remember to subscribe if you like our videos. Filmed on 24th September 2022. It's that time of year again, when Network Rail engineering work means that LNER trains are taking the scenic Tyne Valley Line route between Newcastle and Edinburgh. Class 800 bi-mode units need to be used for the diversion route, as there is no electrification along the Tyne Valley Line. This video features a few of the diverted LNER Azuma services passing through Hexham, Corbridge and Prudhoe. After torrential rain the night before, the weather has fortunately faired up. Indeed by the time I got to Prudhoe it was positively tropical! Footage was captured using a Panasonic HC-VX1; https://amzn.to/3vJnqNJ; fitted with a Rode VideoMic Go; https://amzn.to/3rpMeIA
