How gorgeous is this handwoven piece of wearable artwork? This is beautiful shawl that has been woven on a triangle loom with a continuous weaving method. With Continuous weaving - you use one length of thread to weave both the warp and weft at the same time - the piece comes together as you make it! This particular shawl is a blend of hand spun and hand dyed wool that my mother sourced at an art show. Once it was woven, I washed it as well as added some "shocking" with hot and cold water in order to bind the wool and felt it just a bit. I wanted the weave to bind together into more of a fabric vs an open weave - which you can also do on this loom! It turned out really well!
