Video of Macho (Indiana x Unieko), KWPN approved stallion, at Concours Hippique in Houten, in the final of the ‘Westfort Stallion Competition 2022’. Six stallions took part in this competition this year. The purpose of the Stallion Competition is to provide insight in the professional sports capabilities of the stallions. Three-year-old KWPN stallions must be entered in the sport for at least two years within three years of their approval. If the stallions are approved as four-year-olds, they must be entered in the sport for at least two years within two years after approval. The three- and four-year-old stallions must participate in competitions or classes between peers designated by the General Board. For the regular Stallion Competition 2022, there is an obligation to participate in four competitions and in the final. The final score is determined by adding the placement points obtained during the final to the placement points of the three best competition matches. In case of a tie, the result of the final is decisive. Magnifiek (Idol out of Helise keur by Atleet) won the competition, followed by Macho. Maximiano I&S (Baarzens Jagerszoon out of Belindia ster by Plain's Liberator), Lanto HBC (Delviro out of Urby V ster pref. by Patijn), Leffe Blond (Dylano out of Aderose keur by Patijn) and Lexington (Fantijn out of Higurante elite of Colonist) were also competing. Of course we were cheering on Macho the most, being owned by KWPN-NA members William Duffy and Erin Shea, who were also there!
