Salatul Tasbih is a four-rakah prayer designed for seeking forgiveness, involving a total of 300 repetitions of a specific tasbih: "Subhaanallaahi walhamdu lillaahi walaa ilaaha illallaahu wallaahu akbar". The prayer is performed in two sets of two rakahs, with 75 repetitions in each rakat. Key Tasbih (to be recited 300 times total): Subhaanallaahi walhamdu lillaahi walaa ilaaha illallaahu wallaahu akbar (Glory be to Allah, praise be to Allah, there is no god except Allah, and Allah is the Greatest. Step-by-Step Method (Per Rakah) Niyyah (Intention): Make the intention for 4 rakahs of Nafl (voluntary) Salatul Tasbih. After Sana: After reading Sana (Subhanaka...) and before Fatiha, recite the tasbih 15 times. After Fatiha/Surah: Recite the tasbih 10 times. In Ruku: Recite the tasbih 10 times. Standing after Ruku: Recite the tasbih 10 times. First Sajdah: Recite the tasbih 10 times. Sitting between Sajdahs: Recite the tasbih 10 times. Second Sajdah: Recite the tasbih 10 times. Before standing: Before standing up for the next Rakah, sit for a moment and recite the tasbih 10 times. Total in one Rakah: times. Note: Some traditions suggest 15 times before Fatiha and 10 times after Fatiha; others suggest 15 times after Surah and 10 times before standing Completing the Prayer Second Rakah: After the second sajdah, sit for Tashahhud, then stand up. Third/Fourth Rakah: Repeat the same process, reciting the tasbih 75 times per rakat. End: Finish the 4 rakahs with Tashahhud and Salam. Key Tips Counting: You can count by gently pressing your fingers. Do not use a physical tasbih bead counter, as it is considered distracting in salah. Missed Counts: If you miss a count, make it up in the next posture. Timing: Can be performed anytime, except for the forbidden times (sunrise, sunset, and exactly when the sun is at its peak). Recommendation: Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) encouraged praying this at least once in a lifetime, though it can be done daily, weekly, or monthly.
