2020 Isuzu D-Max 1.9L AT-Premium Double Cab Test Drive

This is the review / test drive of the 2020 Isuzu D-Max Double Cab 1.9L AT-Premium. It is a four door pickup truck based on the second generation D-Max chassis which was launched back in 2011-12. This is the latest facelift of this model and it is still in production. Even though Isuzu had also launched a new model at the end of last year. The gem in this pickup truck is the small capacity 1.9liter turbodiesel 4 cylinder engine. It makes 150PS and the important 350Nm torque. This gives it a lot of pulling power for a truck with such a small capacity engine. This is definitely the future in terms of turbodiesel technology and we even see other small capacity diesels from other makes. This 1.9L isn't new in some other markets (like Thailand) but it just arrived here end of 2019. So we finally get to try it after a few years being sold elsewhere. Late here most likely due to the lesser quality (Euro 2M) diesel standard which isn't so lilked by modern direct injection turbodiesel engines which prefer a lot less sulphur content. So now it's here in the D-Max and this is our review on it.
