Shadow Finance Minister Jane Hume has criticised the Albanese government for “dramatically” changing Australia’s foreign policy positions on Israel. “The problem has been this equivocation, the prevarication – saying one thing to one group of people and doing something with another,” Ms Hume told Sky News Australia. “You know, promising safety on our streets to those in Sydney or in the southeast of Melbourne, but at the same time supporting positions in the UN that essentially have changed our foreign policy stance dramatically in this country. “We can’t afford to be talking out of both sides of our mouth here.”
