The Queen's CardioPulmonary Unit (QCPU) loves to educate! In honour of Science Rendezvous Kingston 2021, QCPU didn't want to miss out on the fun opportunity to foster the education of young minds in science! Which is why we created the QCPU Education Laboratory (Edu-Lab) where our team of scientists explain science projects and experiments that kids can do at home and in the classroom. This video features how to extract DNA from a strawberry with our resident 'Mad' British scientist, Dr. Charlie Hindmarch! He will enthusiastically provide an introduction to Molecular Biology and go over what DNA is, and why it's important. He will take you through the protocol while explaining the science behind each step!
