At best, you must reach over 150 hits in the combo scale, and you will need to do it again in the second half. The method to defeat the enemies in the base is to purposely force them to pull back and slam forward, when they become extremely vulnerable to single shots. Maybe the Machine Gun can help when swarms of them appear? There's a good reason why you're going to be doing another long combo for the second half. You will be riding on Falco's Arwing while attacking the ground with an unlimited supply of laser shots. While you ride, you must destroy the docile groups of Aparoids doing nothing to keep the combo going. S-Flags: 1) From the starting point, head up north a little and you will spot a strange cylinder of steel. Around the base, strike the empty air to find a flag. 2) A little northwest of that place, there's a small snow bridge with two small containers. Strike above the one to the left to uncover a flag. 3) Take the frozen river path down below and head all the way east. You will find a small ice cave where a flag is hiding in the middle. Oh, and take that path. 4) Head northeast of the map until you climb a small frozen pond that overlooks the large frozen river. There is a small crystal in the middle, where a flag is hiding around its base. 5) Once you have taken down the three shield generators, approach the base from the west side and strike above the entrance to spot a flag hiding there. Boss: Mutant Aparoid Cylinder of EVIL It can be a little difficult to fight this one all due to forcing you to strike at a small angle, and you need to strike with bombs at said angle. To obtain bombs, you must destroy the spores it spits out from its weak point. The only attack it ever does is charging a beam. It can be easily dodged, though it hurts like hell if you get struck.
