It’s cheaper than a full resole (around 1/2 the cost) Cons… No fresh cork so other than the sole there is no gain in comfort No way of truly knowing the condition of the cork or the gemming. As a general rule I tend not to do an outsole only if there is 1) a reasonable amount of separation between the welt and midsole. 2) a reasonable amount of footbed compression 3) other signs things have gotten wet (as well as 1 &2 At some point I will do a video to show these things in more detail….
