We traveled to Istanbul in September 2025. Yes, I know… I’m very late with this video. And yes, more videos are coming — and I’ll probably be late with those too. But hey, I’m doing this just for fun. This time, there were five of us again, and our destination was Istanbul, Turkey. Our journey started on September 22nd in Munich, and for me it continued on September 27th — but I’ll talk more about that in another video. We stayed at the Meserret Palace in Istanbul. The location was perfect for us because we could reach many places on foot. One of the spots on our list was the Grand Bazaar. To be honest, it was a bit disappointing, as many of the shops and products felt very repetitive. I would actually recommend the Spice Bazaar instead — much more authentic in my opinion. One of the highlights of the trip was a private boat tour. There were only about ten people on board, which made it really special. We had some food, and you could also buy drinks on the boat. The weather was amazing and the tour itself was fantastic. Unfortunately, I started feeling a bit sick during the tour and wasn’t feeling 100% afterwards. That didn’t stop us from exploring more of the city though. We visited the Basilica Cistern, Hagia Sophia, and the Sultan Ahmed Mosque. And of course, we couldn’t leave Istanbul without joining a culinary tour to try all the delicious local food the city has to offer.
