BODYCAM: High-Speed Police Chase Ends in Collision, Gunfire on Oklahoma Highway

Authorities say an apparent theft incident escalated into a high-speed chase with three suspects that resulted in collisions and gunfire on August 1 in Oklahoma. The Sand Springs Police Department said the chase began when officers responded to a theft call at a Tractor supply store and the suspects allegedly fled. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol engaged when the chase continued onto a state highway. Pursuing officers performed a tactical vehicle intervention causing the suspect's vehicle to spin out. An officer fired a shot at the suspect's vehicle when the driver allegedly crashed into another officer's vehicle in an attempt to get away. Police say the suspects managed to escape and later hid in the woods after abandoning their vehicle.
