This is the final video in our computer optimized Yama series, with our best method yet! Huge thanks to Muffyn who worked on everything in this video: @Muffyn_ Check out Muffyn's perspective on the 2:03.00 World Record run and her breakdown of the method: • We beat the Yama record with Blue moon armour Subscribe to Thrallen (my other channel) to see the next video when it releases: @thrallen Edit: After this video was posted, Jagex temporarily blocked the spear's special attack, but only because they were concerned about other side effects, elsewhere in the game. They've since reverted it, so the ROBOSPEAR works once again, however they did reduce the max hit of the blue moon spear to 100. This means we lose 50 expected damage, or 1.8 emberlight hits, so expect each use of ROBOSPEAR to now be, on average, 1.8 more attacks than before. I haven't had the chance to sim this yet, but I believe it should place it around 24%, down from 31%. I still definitely recommend ROBOSPEAR, it's still the highest DPS (most of the DPS comes from chase tech starting immediately) and it's a lot easier to do than you might think. Edit 2 - Tips for doing ROBOSPEAR: 1. You need to make sure the blue moon staff is set to melee, not mage. The special attack is a melee spec. You can change this as you're phasing from judge. 2. If you spawn too close to Yama, you need to delay 1 tick. This is the exact same as with MONOFLY, and @GnomonkeyRS has a guide on this. If you skip to the 0:20 mark of this video ( • UPDATED DONOFLY + GNOMONOFLY TECH (OSRS) , that's where he shows you how to start MONOFLY, and starting ROBOSPEAR is the exact same principal. Note about the ROBOSPEAR MAX: While the ROBOSPEAR is extremely optimized, the ROBOSPEAR MAX really is not, and we made it to be "good enough" for the world record, which was our main goal with the duo method. It gets max DPS for the first 10 hits, which is usually enough, and the tiles are pretty good, but definitely could be improved. We're already seeing people make improvements to this method, I have no doubt soon someone will come up with something extremely smooth for both players, while also getting max DPS beyond 10 hits. You can use the duo visualizer in the description to chart your own method! __________________________________ Anyone may use this video for clips, reactions, guidemaking, or any other reason
