She runs & manages her own small goat farm business, Silver Pine Kiko Goats, on her family’s 5 acre property in the beautiful green foothills of Southern Oregon, with goals to breed a better goat. Kiko goats are a newer breed from New Zealand, known for their overall hardiness, parasite resistance, good mothering skills, & the ability to thrive with little to no input from the producer (when in the right environment). Every year, Sylvia breeds her goats, raises baby goat kids, & sells them, all the while striving to produce quality goats. She also enjoys showing them in 4-H & FFA. All animals are treated with care, always receiving one on one attention, and also get to enjoy part time free ranging on the property, eating grass and blackberries.
