FRIDAY 29TH NOVEMBER 2024 - CRIME WATCH LIVE HIGHLIGHTS FROM TODAY'S SHOW: A couple was gunned down at their Claxton Bay home but their infant son was spared on Thursday 28th November 2024: • The deceased have been identified as 46-year-old scrap iron dealer Basdeo Lallan and his 21-year-old common-law wife Whitney Narine. Narine was an employee at the San Fernando City Corporation. • They were shot and killed by a gunman around 9pm while at their Teak Avenue, Macaulay Road, Claxton Bay home and died at the scene. • Their 7-month-old baby boy was not harmed during the incident and was later removed from the house by a neighbour who went to check on them after gunshots were heard. Basdeo’s Brother and niece gunned down in Rio Claro last year: A 13-year-old girl and her uncle were shot dead while another man was injured following a shooting in Rio Claro on Friday 29th September, 2023. • The deceased are Andrea Lallan and her uncle Sylvan Lallan of old Mayaro Road, Libertville, Rio Claro while Eddie Lallan, Andrea’s father survived. Tafari Bain, a neighbour, was subsequently arrested and charged with allegedly murdering Andrea and Sylvan. 13-year-old Andrea, who was allegedly a rape victim, was gunned down hours she left the Rio Claro police station with her father regarding a rape report: Another brother murdered in the area six years ago: • Basdeo’s brother 35-year-old Narrad Neil Bhagaloo, another scrap iron dealer was shot and killed at his home at Teak Ave. Macaulay Road, Claxton Bay on Thursday 6th December 2018 by three armed men.
