We reached the end of October, so that is the end of the first little aerocloner experiment using the broken 'cherry tomato' plant. I learned that the technique of using a small 10 slot bucket with a fish pond fogger works very well for nutrient application. I learned that for the size of the equipment, a 10W LED (800 lumen) kitchen downlight in an inverted bucket is a very safe & simple mains powered light source, but that it was a little under powered. I learned the kitchen sponge I used starts to rot under the constantly damp conditions, which can cause problems around the plant stem, so I need to find an adequate replacement for the blue sponge I used in the video. I learned I had no fertilizer burn at all at 250 - 300 ppm, but I really need to repeat the experiment with rainwater, because I had used my local (hopeless) tap water which starts with about 70 ppm carbonates + chlorine in it. Stay tuned, I will re-run the experiment with new water & nutes, different plant suspension medium, with double commercial LEDs using a 2nd spectrum. I just have to wait till my dutch buckets tomatos produce leaders I can clone from (after all, cloning is the point) I am currently building the 2nd prototype aero cloner which will be marginally larger & an oblong shape. It will use a single bucket & have a DIY multi LED setup at around 48 watts using the 50% blue spectrum with 50% cool white 6000k LEDs. I intend to use a $5 fogger from the internet, matched with a cheap recycled 9 or 12v plug pak. Basically it will be 50% larger because the fogger will service that much quite easily, with enough room to fit a lot of light & allow for a 100% LED expansion. I intend to run the cloners in parallel with each other to test variations on the theme
