Julie Margolin, Director of Food & Beverage at Dickies Arena, leads the ALSD’s Jared Frank through the built-to-scale mock suite at the Dickies Arena Preview Center. Margolin points out all the key design elements and how they are incorporated with careful consideration for the guest experience. When Dickies Arena opens in November, suite holders can expect comfortable seats, one attendant for every two suites, inviting atmospheres to promote engagement between suite guests and with the event itself, technology abilities (but not requirements), as well as a first-class food and beverage experience. From the food and beverage standpoint, tables between seats eliminate having to put plates in laps and create a heightened dining sense. Longer, wider natural stone countertops also provide guests with more dining and socializing space, as well as drive the use of chafing dishes and service elements with plenty of room for hot and cold food items. Islands have been strategically designed without chairs to inspire further engagement. And cabinetry is installed with copious storage space for refrigeration and ice, as well as trash and recycling receptacles.
