Albany County Sheriff Dave O’Malley presented ““Matthew Shepard: The Investigation and Beyond” as part of the program, “Remembering Matthew Shepard and his Murder: 20 Years Later,” held Oct. 6, 2018, at the University of Wyoming in Laramie. The discovery of Matthew Shepard’s fatally injured body launched an investigation which uncovered sufficient evidence to determine the attack’s details as well as the murderers’ identity and motive. It also led to their conviction. Join Sheriff O’Malley—who played a key role in the events surrounding the case—to learn what actually happened that night and how it impacted his own persective, and in the days, weeks and months that followed.
