Welcome back to Mayuko's channel. This week, I created a vase using a segmenting technique and a fan motif composed of various types of natural wood. The symmetrical geometric pattern creates an elegant yet warm impression, highlighting the beauty of the wood's natural grain and color. Each piece is assembled with precision, resulting in a work that is not only functional but also artistic. For the top of the vase, I tried arranging the wood using an angled technique. I was curious to see what the final result would be like with the angled wood, but it looked the same whether it was cut at an angle or straight. I was no longer interested in the angled cutting idea. The finishing was done using beeswax to maintain the natural shine and soft texture of the surface.
