I really want you to get to know Moscow better and see the city through the eyes of Muscovites. In my new video I decided to show you 5 special art places of the Russian capital. Their peculiarity is that these art spaces used to be different factories. However, over the past 20 years, they have closed and turned into the main art projects in Moscow. Now these are the places where most of the buildings are with incredible, unusual design. There are many cafes, showrooms, various museums and galleries, and many more! When visiting Moscow, you just need to visit at least a few of these art spaces to find out more about contemporary art of Russia. You will definitely not regret it! 1. ArtPlay. It is a creative cluster in Moscow. Established in 2003, since 2008 it is located on the territory of the former industrial zone in the area of Kursky railway station. The cluster includes architectural and design bureaus, showrooms, offices, the University of creative industries, exhibition spaces, studios, and other businesses. Nizhnyaya Syromyatnicheskaya street 10, Moscow 2. Winzavod. It is a centre for contemporary arts in Moscow. Opened in 2007, it is located in a complex of seven industrial buildings from the late 19th century including the former brewery called "Moscow Bavaria". 4 Syromyatnicheskiy lane1/8, Moscow 3. Arma. It is One of the most unique and beautiful business districts in Moscow where there are also several museums and galleries. Nizhniy Susalnyy lane 5, Moscow 4. Hlebozavod №9. This is one of the youngest art spaces in Moscow. Nevertheless, the place looks very atmospheric. There are a lot of stunning showrooms and a cafe. Novodmitrovskaya street 1, Moscow 5. Flacon. Design area on an old crystal factory site with workshops, studios, agencies, shops & a café.
