In this video, Aurora Foundation presents a conversation between Lwando Xaso, a South African constitutional lawyer and author, and students Humuza Gisa Roick and Beatriz Lincoln Verçosa from Rome Tor Vergata University. After looking at historical periods of great suffering such as apartheid in South Africa, where people were silenced and marginalized, it becomes important to give space to historically marginalized people and use our imagination to create a more just future. The author shares her experience of youth mobilization and discusses how youth organizations can make their voices heard and participate in decision-making processes. The video also covers how to do capacity building to support the acquisition of new skills and the roles of initiatives such as the WikiAfrica Education Program promoted by Fondazione Aurora and Moleskine Foundation, which aims to make young people active producers of knowledge. In the conversation with Beatriz and Gisa, Lwando Xaso also reflects on what being "Made in South Africa" means and what it means to feel at home in South Africa today, despite the country's difficult history and current struggles.
