Supported entirely by Central Washington University Happy Birthday to the First Lady of Song, Ella Fitzgerald! Hello guys & gals! This is a project I've been putting together for the past few months with the help of of my peers, faculty members, my advisor (Dr. Mark C. Samples) and funding sources on campus. After coming to CWU for school and attending a concert including the top jazz ensemble (Jazz Band 1), I knew immediately that I wanted to perform alongside the amazing musicians I was hearing. I am so fortunate to attend a school that values the creative arts and music disciplines as much as they do. This Winter, I became aware of the funds available from the school and how they were just waiting to be taken advantage of by students for projects like this. I knew this was my last chance before graduating to really make it happen and be able to showcase the immense talent at CWU. Everyone involved is a Central Washington University student or faculty member, including musicians, band director, sound crew, film crew, and all the helpers behind the scenes. This project has taken a lot of time and patience, and I've learned so many valuable things in the process. Thank you SO much for watching- I hope you enjoy and find it all just as "fascinating" as I do! Please like, subscribe and SHARE! We want to show off CWU skills! For any contact info of any musicians, sound crew or film crew involved, please contact me at my business e-mail on my channel page and I can help direct. “Fascinating Rhythm” Big Band Transcription by band director, Norman Wallen. All credits to original composers and arranger, George & Ira Gershwin and Nelson Riddle
