Apple’s Christmas Projections This Christmas, Apple is lighting up London with a festive burst of creativity. Tree on Battersea, Apple’s first-ever public iPad art competition, has crowned its winners and you can see their creations shining across the iconic chimney’s on the North Side of Battersea Power Station. The competition is hosted by British comedian and cultural favourite Munya Chawawa, bringing an extra spark of fun to the celebrations. From 4 – 24 December 2025, between 5 p.m. and 10:30 p.m, the 24 winning Christmas trees will be projected onto the power station’s towering façade. Appear alongside works from famous artists and personalities, including Kylie Minogue, Sir Stephen Fry, Maro Itoje, Oliver Jeffers, David Shrigley OBE, and Chawawa himself. Battersea Power Station was conceived as the first of the new “superstations” that would provide the electricity for Britain in the 1930s. The basic design was from London Power Company chief engineer Leonard Pearce: but the Company was concerned about criticism and brought in Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, one of the foremost architects of the day, to make the building more beautiful.
