The Magic of Film: From Negative to Print for a client.

🎥 About This Video.... I have a certain attraction to my photographs from years gone by. A photograph I didn't think much of 10 years ago suddenly looks more attractive. The shoot isn't fresh in my mind and so I forget little details and when I see a negative printed years later it has this nostalgic appeal. It's not often I make prints to order, however, for regular clients I will. And a collector asked to see my London Prints. She decided on two and a specific size also. So I went into the darkroom. I decided to make these prints a bit more special by limiting the size requested to only 5 prints. You will see in the video I include a "Certificate of Authentication". As these are a small run I hand wrote these and included a piece of the original test strips from the session. I think this gives your work a more personal touch. Of course if you were making 50 prints handwriting a COA would be time consuming. By limiting the size of the edition then you are free to make the same print from the same negative in other sizes. As long as you make this clear on your COA and sale. So I could limit edition the same photograph at the size of 12x16 and cropped if I wanted to. But it's important to be transparent about your intentions. The negatives will be stored away with a note of the limited edition size already in circulation so it can't be duplicated in that size in future. You never know! My negatives could end up in someone else's hands one day. Prints Available These prints are available (3 prints). Print Size - 10x6.6 Inch (actual print area).
