In Hong Kong, where space comes at a premium, artists often jest about 'knowing how to work with iron' as their sole creative outlet. This experimental documentary challenges this self-deprecating notion through a 100-day observation of 'Temporary Permanence' - an urban intervention that transformed a construction waste container into an unexpected gallery space. Through the lens of everyday encounters, we witness how a mundane street corner becomes a laboratory for social experimentation. The project questions not just the boundaries of artistic expression, but the very nature of public space in our densely packed metropolis. What unfolds is not merely documentation, but a quiet manifesto about resource-deprived creativity. As the camera captures the subtle interactions - from curious sanitation workers to spontaneous community discussions - we see art transcending its institutional confines, becoming an organic part of street life. The film chronicles how a simple act of spatial re-contextualization sparks dialogues about urban living, public safety, and the democratization of art. It suggests that perhaps true artistic revolution doesn't require elaborate installations or prestigious venues - sometimes, it just needs a different way of seeing what's already there. In a city where every inch is contested, this documentary presents a meditation on how art can exist beyond gallery walls, proving that creativity thrives not despite limitations, but because of them. It's a testament to how the smallest interventions can trigger the largest conversations about who owns public space, and what art can be when it truly belongs to everyone.
