Riding the Trinity Railway Express (TRE) from Union Station in Downtown Dallas to T&P Station in Downtown Fort Worth (train model: 1988 General Motors Diesel F59PH). TRE is a commuter rail service that operates between Dallas and Fort Worth. Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) and Trinity METRO (a transit agency in Tarrant County/Fort Worth) manages the TRE Commuter Rail. This commuter rail line started on December 1996, serving both major cities. The 34 miles (55 km) ride between Downtown Dallas to Downtown Fort Worth is around one hour. In my opinion, it did not felt like an hour. Watching the North Texas prairie field makes the time goes quick. The train was clean, spotless, and quiet (great place to read a book or to work). CORRECTION ✅: Thank you Richard Alan Hicks, for pointing out the official location of Texas Central High Speed Rail. The Dallas Terminus is located at the Cedars neighborhood (south of Downtown Dallas). Also, this terminus station will be near to DART Rail Cedar Station (connection to Blue & Red Lines). FARE 🎟: I bought a Regional Day Pass at ticket vending machine (DART Rail, DCTA, TRE, or TEXRail) that cost me $12.00. The Regional Day Pass allows me to take/transfer any transit service in the DFW area. Or, you can purchase the ticket by downloading the official mobile app called GoPass (https://www.gopass.org/). Fun facts: There are 3 active commuter rails (and 1 commuter rail coming soon) in DFW area: 1) Trinity Railway Express (TRE): Downtown Dallas to Downtown Fort Worth 2) Trinity METRO TEXRail: Downtown Fort Worth to DFW Airport ( • Riding TEXRail, Downtown Fort Worth T&P St... ) 3) DCTA A-Train: Denton County to Northwest of Dallas 4) DART Silver Line (coming soon): Northeast of Dallas to DFW Airport Another fun fact: Did you know that a popular cartoon show called King of the Hill was took place in the DFW area. The fictional city called Arlen, Texas, is a suburban of Dallas, Texas. Arlington, TX: At 18:25, you can see AT&T Stadium (Home of the Dallas Cowboys), Texas Rangers (professional baseball team) Stadium, and Six Flags Over Texas (theme park).
